Hmm. I'm still figuring out how to use this site seeing as I joined less than five minutes ago. To start off, I'm not a painter. I'm not an artist. I enjoy writing and I have been for quite some time but my stories, poems, etc. aren't the greatest, so I wouldn't classify myself as some hardcore writer.
Instead, I'm a photographer.
Photography has been my latest obsession for the past four months and it all started with a cameraphone as weird as it seems. I take pictures of sunrises. Sunsets. People. Pets. Plants. Just about everything. Photography is so much different than writing, I've discovered. When I write, it's always this fantasy world. Everything is either perfect or totally screwed up. But when you take a picture, it's different. Your subject is right in front of you. You can physically SEE it. It's real. Not some make-believe thing I've grown to know and love as a 'writer'.
Words can be forgotten, but a picture is forever.
